Babies have skin hunger.....

Research shows that babies who have a lot physical contact are growing a lot better then babies who don't have physical contact.

New borns have needs of physical contact. They also call it skin hunger...
Mid-80s showed that at an American hospital: incubator babies who were not touched, remained far behind in growth. Babies whose every night have their back caressed, grew normally.

In the womb, babies are constantly touched and rocked. They have a 24 hours a day in contact with the body of their mother. They aren't hungry they don't feel pain. It's just a safe place for the baby.
And then there is the birth and the warm small hole digs for an immense world in which the child is often only sleeps, is in the box, sits in a rocking chair or lying in a stroller.The continuity theory suggests: Proceed with the cradles, touching and caressing. Carry your baby, let him sway you. After a month or 9 your child gives a sign that he wants to see the wide world, and he literally crawls away from you.

New research techniques like brain scans and measuring the stress hormone cortisol in the saliva of infants show how important physical contact is for the development of babies. And then there is not refers to the functional touch while changing and bathing: it means conscious, loving touches.
European research shows that babies who average nearly 10 hours per day had physical contact cried 50% less than babies who average had 8.5 hours per day contact.

In a friendly touch the 'cuddle hormone "oxytocin is released. Oxytocin causes we enter into relationships with others. It comes in large concentrations in the brains of mothers during and after childbirth, and ensures that they want continuously hold their baby and take care of them.

I love to carry my baby girl, and comfort her when she cries. But I can carry her for 10 hours.
And what about when I go to work after 3 months?
They don't carry my baby girl for 10 hours in a daycare?

But what I do is be with her when she needs me. Cuddle with her when she cries. Play with her when she is active, talk nice words to her when she's panic.
If she wants to sleep on me then I would let her sleep on me.
I just want to be there for her and show her that she don't need to worry, that the big bad world isn't that bad at all.

Zucchini fries

Healthy tasty fries. It is possible!

This time I've made fries out of a zucchini. A yellow one! Also know as the golden zucchini.

Zucchini is one of the very low calorie vegetables; provide only 17 calories per 100 g. It contains no saturated fats or cholesterol. Its peel is good source of dietary fiber that helps reduce constipation and offers some protection against colon cancers.

What do you need;

1 golden zucchini

Breadcrumbs

Dried parsley

Salt

Grated cheese

Eggs

First cut the zucchini like fries. 

Put some salt on it and let it rest for about an hour. You will see that it has lost a lot of moisture. 

Dry the zucchini.

Preheat the oven on 220degrees.

Mix the dried parsley grated cheese and the breadcrumbs into a bowl. In the orher one you put the beaten eggs.

Dip the zucchini first in the egg and after that cover it in the breadcrumb mixture.

Put this on an ovenplate.

Put the zucchini fries is the oven for 12minutes turn them around and let them in the oven for another 12minutes. 

Here you have your healthy fries!

Vacation booked!

Finally we booked our vacation for in November.

Our first vacation as a family. First vacation of our little girl. We're excited!

After 7months staying at home of work because of pregnancy, I go back to work in October. And in November I've got 2 weeks of vacation. Time to go away of the daley traffic and all the stress. Just one week relaxaction. 

It took a while to figure out what will be the best vacation spot for us and our little one. We want to stay in the Netherlands and it must be baby friendly.

1dog of us goes with us the other 2 goes to a doghotel.

So dogs must be allowed where we want to go. 

So we go to 1 of the vacation parcs of Centerparcs.

They have everything: swimmingpool, babyproof, indoor entertainment. 

We're going to Sandur in Drenthe. I've never been in Drenthe and the place where we're going have beautifull nature,hunebedden  (don't know what it is in english) but they are: stone room from prehistoric consisting of standing stones wear, covered by flat slabs.

So you can make nice walks if the weather is fine. Otherwhise we can go to the parc for a swim or entertainment centre, or a little farm.

We've got usselfs a V.I.P. Cottage so we've got some extra's like a sauna and a hot tub.

I hope we can find some rest and entertainment. Finally some quality tine with the 3 of us.

I've got that problem last Valentines day. And while I don't like those commercial days, this time I wanted to buy something sweet for my hubby. He bought me a gift with Christmas while we would not buy something for eachother.

She is sick of all the negative comments about bellies of mommies.
Yeah maybe you suffer from stretch marks after giving birth.
Or your hips are out of proportion. But that does not mean that other people can act rude and give comments to your body who had raise a baby!!!

Your body has brought up, nourished and protected a baby. That is very exhausting for your body and therefore it changed. But it's the most precious thing what can happen to you.
It's like magic how your body can make a baby out of 2 cells!

So those stretch marks are stripes of a tiger! And you've earned them because you've got something special out of it.

That does remind me of the woman who is ridiculed for stretch marks and strike back through Facebook..

I can only hope that one day you'll realize that my battle scars are something to be proud of, not ashamed of.

I'm also in this challenge.
I've put a picture online also.
The left one is when I was 34 weeks pregnant and the other pictures is after giving birth.
I've got some stretch marks on my sides an legs.
My hips are a little bit bigger also.
I've gained less than 10 kilo's during pregnancy and when my little girl comes out I've got my old weight back!
I've got a very small tummy during pregnancy.
Some people did not believe that I was pregnant for that long. They think I was pregnant for only 20 weeks.
But a small belly is not that great because I was in lot of pain.
My abs push my tummy to the inside so my baby pushes to my kidneys and other organs.
But I've got a precious little girl now!
For the stretch marks I used Zwitsal baby oil. And it worked great. I did not use it on my legs and sides... But what ever. It does not bother me that I have those stretch marks.
My tattoo is also not stretched. Some people think that it will streched out and it whil be ugly.
But that does not happen to me.

So I think I can be proud of my body after giving birth.

Clichés to not take any tattoo

I've got 6 tattoos and I hear a lot of things people say why I should not have done that...
I'm a little bit done of the clichés questions of people.

Why did I take a tattoo?
Well maybe because I want a tattoo and it has a meaning to me.

But you are so pretty?
Well am I not pretty any more because I have a tattoo now?


A tattoo stays forever on your body..
Euhm... maybe that's the whole reason I wanted one!

Does your tattoos have a meaning?
Euhm yes and no. Can't it not only be pretty?

Don't you regret it having them?
No, why should I?

What does your parent(s) think about it?
Not good, it's not God his will to do this. But it is my body. And I've got it when I live on my own allready.

Is it not a bad example for your children?
Euhm NO!!!

Aren't you afraid people will judge you?
Like you asking me this right now?

Aren't you worried how your tattoo will look like when your older?
No, I think the most people in retirement homes will have tattoos then.

I would never get a tattoo!

ConFashion Tag

I know I should be learning for my theorie exam next Tuesday for my driver license now my little girl is sleeping.
But first I want to work on some blogposts.

I wanted to do this tag weeks ago.
The maker of this tag is: linlicious-style .
I thought this would be a fun tag to do.
They are not standard questions like: which store I shop the most, or what my favourite bag brand is.
This tag is about: confessions...

What trend do you have hanging in your wardrobe and is actually not done?
I'm not that trend kind of person. I wear what I like and sometimes it's something what's new and hip.
But if I must choose I think my neon yellow adidas suit. Or my puggle onesie from the Primark.
Hmmm they are both not that kind of things I would wear when I walk wih my dogs haha.

Your biggest fashion misstake?
Wearing a see through shirt. But not knowing it is see through and wearing a fluor colour bra under it.
And getting to work like that.... Oops...

Your biggest fashion risk?
I'm not that risky person what it comes about fashion. But I'm not a chino kind a person. Specially colour chino's. I've got a mint green and I wear it with a pastel purple shirt on it.

A garment you, even though it still consists of two wires and one stitching, will never throw away;
I've got an army green Boxeur des Rues vest, with a sheep coat in it. It's so nice and warm for in the winter. I've got this vest like 5 years now and the zipper is broke but it is still warm!

Fashion trends that no one understands, but where you - shrug - or to participate;
I think that would be the boyfriend jeans trend. I like those jeans because well let's say: I've don't got a ass for nice thight jeans ;) haha. And when I wear a boyfriend jeans it does not matter if you have a nice round/big ass. But most people say it's not girly enough and just don't get that trend. But other say it is 100% me and they like it. But it does not matter to me: I like it, wear it with a thight shirt and some all stars shoes and I'm ready for the day!

Walk in closet / large closet
Walk in closet ofcourse!!! Ow wait we've got a walk in closet allready.... Lucky me.

Stylish means to you
Wearing clothes you like and be caring.

If you could, you wore.... every day 
Sweatpants and a sweater. They are so comphy!!! I think I must go work at the Nike store like a friend of mine. He works in sweatpants all day... I'm so jealous!

Brand or style
Style.... Why pay a lot more for a brand when some kind of Non brand stores have the same?
I don't get that. Only my sport outfits are a brand (Adidas!!!)

Budget shopping or Designers shopping
Budget please! I love the sale period. I love to have more for less..
But I still look if I really like it, do I really need it?
Let me tell you why I like budget shopping...
For our work at a clothing store we must wear clothing from the brand we sell. So I buy a lot of clothes for at work (is logical). Our brand is not the very cheap (well that's my opinion) so if I want to wear an other brand or cloting what I only wear when I'm free it would be a budget/sale cloting piece.
I will not pay a lot of money for clothes that I not wear often. so that's why budget!

Dress for success or passion for fashion
I think passion for fashion. Just wear clothes you feel good in and not because you want to show people how wealthy you are.

Newborn shoot with their dog!

What do pet, portrait and family photographer (Jame Clauss) do after a photoshoot and she'll have nothing to do?
So she took pictures of their lovely snuggly jack russel dog ... And well yes newborn baby pictures.
The dog get's all the model attation he needs.
You see all the normal cute baby photo's but then with a dog.
