Maternity fashion myths

Well I know that I'm not pregnant any more.
But I still wanted to write an article about maternity fashion myths.
There are a lots of do's and dont's to wear your clothing during pregnancy.
Well in my opinion I think you must wear what you like and if you feel comfortable in it why not?
Why must you wear a dress with a belt on it? Why can't you wear bold prints?
Why must you buy an whole new wardrobe with clothing you don't like just because you are pregnant?
Just feel and be happy in what you wear. Your body, your baby, your rules!

That you must give up your own style is the biggest sin ever!
You've got lot's of materinty clothing in the latest trends. And todays maternity clothing are clothing that fits your figure well in the newest trends.

Like me: I love boyfriend jeans.
Sow why don't wear them? You've got a lot of choices to wear during your pregnancy.
Look for clothes that you want and need, and do not buy something unless you feel confident and beautiful wearing it.

Well I've told you I love to wear boyfriend jeans. Well that goes to the next myth. Never wear jeans!
Why stuck with dresses and leggings during pregnancy while there are a lot of great and beautifull maternity jeans! Well I must admit that it was hard to find a good pair of maternity jeans.
But if you find them yhen you feel beautiful and great.
Here are my 2 jeans I've bought during my pregnancy.

The big cover up. And specially during summer time. Why wear long pants or dresses to cover up your swollen ankles? It's summer.....
So why can't you enjoy it? Just wear your sandals and flip flops with pride.

How many times do you hear that if you are pregnant you must wear plain colors, small prints and just say no to stripes? Well in my other article: here you can read that stripes are the new trend in maternity clothing! Prints and stripes can be very flattering over the bump.

Black is an easy color to wear during pregnancy. But why wear dark colors? Or is there a goth that comes out of you? No, you are pregnant, you are beautiful. You can wear what you want even pastel colors, Don't say no to light colors. And ofcourse you can wear dark colors but not 9 months long.

So what I want to say is: Every mommy to be must feel and be beautifull and enjoy pregnancy (even if it's hard sometimes, I know that). Just love the way you look and feel comfortable in what you wear: if it's a pair of yoga pants or a beautiful dress. If you are comfortable in it and you are happy that's all that matters!
The most important thing is just focus on your baby.

Feeling comphy in my new outfit

I'm not a fashion blogger but I just must share this outfit.
This is so comphy! I just love it.
It's a baggy jeans from silvercreek.
I love baggy jeans because I just don't have a nice but and if you wear this kind of jeans it just does not matter. This jeans is also very stretchy. Price is a little bit out of my budget but the nice sales lady convinced me that they where nice, stretchy and enough room to grow and can wear them after pregnancy. Normally I don't buy this talk but I had fun with her and I wanted a new baggy jeans so badly so I bought them anyway :D.
Shirt is from the coolcat.
Long time that I bought something from there. Must stuff are to nude or to crowded. But I liked this one.
Nice summer colour, sportive, loosefit.
100% me!
I was sold right away.
Now only I must buy now are a new pair of sneakers.

Have a nice day peepz!
Make your marternity clothing: trendy, sporty, good looking and 100% YOU! And you will feel good...

Maternity Fashion Spring/Summer

Spring is here and summer is almost there to. During your pregnancy, you can walk there in the latest fashion. I give you the spring trends and inspiration in
Maternity Fashion.

STRIPES

The trend that will almost return every year are Stripes. Stripes are classic and make your outfit look chique. Especially in maternity clothing stripes are very hip this season. Both narrow and broad, gray and black or detail: everything is possible and incorporated into each garment. Navy blue and white are the colors most used for stripes. The striped garments are easy to combine with solid colors.

JUMPSUIT
The jumpsuit is not only comfortable, but you can wear it also anywhere and anytime. While it feels like you're walking around in pajamas, you look good in it. During pregnancy, a jumpsuit can be ideal. It stays in place, you have all the space and you can move in it easely. Both for casual and business or party look is the jumpsuit perfect.

PASTELS
This spring, but also in summer, pastel colors can be taken out of the closet. The most used pastel colors are a light shade of blue, vanilla yellow, mint green, beige and soft pink. You will see this colors also in maternity fashion!

When I'm sad I go shopping

Yesterday I went to the gynecologist and she was not nice at all.
She told me that my tummy hurts and my bleedings are a way to get attantion and that it's only my imagination that I have that. I was so mad I could cry. How can she say such of things? Like if I enjoy it to lay in the hospital or laying at home because my  midwife said so? Hell NO!!!
I want to work, I want to enjoy my pregnancy without bleedings or pain like anyone else. And she tells me that it's all imagination to get attention.
Next week I must go back to my midwife I hope she can tell me why she said such of things!
Maybe I need a towel full of blood to push in to her face the next time. That's the devil in me talking.

So before I'll go home by buss I go in to the shop for some new summer clothes. It was or that or wait on the bus for an hour. Well that's an easy choice to make. And shopping makes me feel happy!

I went to one store because my tummy hurts again and I bought 2 sets of clothing! Happy me!!!
I've made pictures of it but they are not that professional like the most fashion or beauty bloggers. But I'm not an official beauty/fashion blogger also.

Both outfits came from the New Yorker and they are not that expensive! Me like...

In the evening I had an appointment for my nails. So they are beautifull again also!

So now I'm a little bit happy again. And the sun is shining today. My friend is comming to have a lunch so I've made a strawberrie, rhubarb cobbler

But that recipe I will post maybe later the day.

Nails done and pregnancy..... just feel like a princess momma!

Well I was a little off the last days. Laying in the hospital... Luckly my baby is ok. Only mommy must get more rest. So I don't have time to make new healthy recipe or some nutrition advice. But what I've got is some beauty advice instead. Most pregnant ladies are wondering if manicures, pedicures, nailpolish etc are safe during the pregnanacy. But they are perfectly safe, so treat your self and feel like a princess momma! And make advantage now while your nails are growing faster and stronger than ever thanks to pregnancy hormones! There are no proof that acrylic chemicals are bad for you and your baby during pregnancy. Make sure the room is ventilated or else it can make you quesy. But that's also if you are not pregnant.

So treat yourself and feel pretty and confident. I'll do my nails every 3/4 weeks. And I love to do that.
It's a little relax time for myself. And I've got beautifull nails after that. In the hospital I've got a lot of compliments about my nails. Well that's always great to hear that. Not that I doing it by myself.
I go to a nail salon for that. Just go to her page and check it out. And if you live nearby you can make an appointment, Nagelstudio Carla . Great service, nice and fun woman and she does your nails perfectly. I can't wait to go back to her again.

Your nails are the reflection of yourself.

Maternity shopping

Time for a baby check up... What great to hear your little babies heartbeat. It's such a presious little thing what I'm creating. Can't wait to hold him/her in to my arms.
Everyting is fine with my little baby. But mommy still must do it easy and slow. So I hope from now on there will be no more bleedings. I felt his/her little head. What an amazing thing was that!

But enough about my baby talk. How's your baby doing?

Today I've bought some flowers for in our house. Because it's not that Spring weather any more.
I've got some nice blue roses and a blue cactus. Did you ever see that?

It was also time to replace my bellybutton ring into a maternity piercing.
Everyday barbells, rings and PTFE are too short and rip as your belly expands. With this one it will be different. It is very flexible and it's long enough to grow.
This piercing is a replacement for your metal piercing and keep the piercing open until your jewelry can be reinserted. If you need to adjust the size, you can easily cut the ends with scissors or a sharp blade.
Pregnancy is often unpredictable. If it feels safe to use it for you, you can wear it. Some people can get some infections wearing a maternity piercing. So use it at your own risk.
I've orderd mine at: https://www.alloverpiercings.nl/ a great webshop with great fast services.
They are not too expensive and they have a lot of choices in different kind of piercings.
I will wear mine piercing with pride......

Don't feel down just smile

Pregnancy does a lot with you body and mind. And everybody dreams to look as beautifull like all of those celeberties. Everybody hopes they will not gain weight a lot.

But all those celebs have a personal trainer, diĆ«tist and someone who will gave them advice  and what do you think about their stylist or visagist who makes sure they look great?

A lot of pregnant woman don't feel confident about theirselfs. Me either. Hanging above the toilet does not makes you feel pretty but just feeling dirty.

You feel unattractive and your body is changing a lot. It's just a normal process during the pregnancy.

But how can you deal with all those changes? How can you feel confident again?
Let me give you some advice.

First off all STOP with saying that you are ugly or your fat or what ever! This does not do your ego any good. Stay positive, how hard it will be sometimes. People who are saying they are ugly will look ugly. So simple as that.

Cuddle, kiss, have sex with your partner. For a lot of woman this makes them feel confident.

Weare your bump with pride. I've got a tiny bump with 24 weeks a friend of mine who's 20 weeks has a big bump. But wear your bump with pride, don't hide it. It's such a beautifull thing that mother nature gave it to us.

Wear comfortable clothing. If you don't fit in any skinny jeans any more just deal with it. But don't wear sweatpants instead. Yes I've got to deal with pregnancy pants also. But they feel much comfortable and you've got really nice and trendy ones. So if it fits great you will show it also.

Just spent a little more time to your appearance. Get up an half an hour earlier to do your make up and your hair. Don't think if you are pregnant you have not to do that any more. Well wrong. Make sure you look great and then you will feel great also.
I was trying to do that for a couple of days and I only get compliments that I sparkle and look great and happy. Well all those compliments will makes you feel great.

And finally: Be Yourself!
Everybody is beautifull in their own way. Even if you are pregnant or not. Just be yourself, smile and wear your bump with pride. It's such a gift to wear a little life inside of you.... Everybody feels happy in their own way. I feel happy if I get my nails done, wear some dresses (I wear them never before pregnancy but now I feel good in it), by wearing funny belly bands, wear braceltets and other jewelry to make my outfit complete and do my hair for ones (I've always wear my hair loose)

And here some advice from Jwoww and Snooki... I really need to laugh about those two.
