Cats and dogs with babies

Well maybe you all may know that I love animals!
We've got 2 cats and 3 dogs. And I really love them.
1 cat and 1 dog is from my hubby the others are mine.
Specially my cat Audi... I really love him and can't live without him.
He loves to cuddle, can sit on command, if I'm in a argument he's protecting me.
He hated my ex, he peed on his clothes and stuff, he never liked him.
And my new hubby, well they are good friends. It's for the first time he cuddled with a male person.
So I you can say by my cat he's the one ;).

I also love my dogs ofcourse. They are my 4 legged kids. Little bit suborn, but so cute!

When I came home with our little baby girl we where curious how our dogs would react.
And well they where quiet, little bit curious and snif on her. But they don't pay a lot attention to her.
Sometimes my black dog (Baco) come lay with me when I breastfeed her.

My cat look sometimes to her but when she moved he ran away. I think he must to get used of the idea that he's not the only one any more that can cuddle with me.

But they all are nice to her. We also involve them and we're staying to give them attention.

I love to see pictures of cute babies with their pets.
Here are some pictures I've found.
Who said animals can't live with babies?

How did your pet respond to your baby?

Not to do after giving birth

I've told you my labor story here allready.
When I was laying in the hospital I've heard a lot of stories from the nurses.
So there are really people who just have gave birth and want their phone to call someone that they have a little boy/girl.
When my little girl was born we just can't think of our phone and call someone. We just want to enjoy our moment with the 3 of us (FINALLY).
And did you know that their are really people post a message on facebook right away?
I did not know that. Well I knew that people will post  that they have a baby on facebook but not when you gave birth 10 seconds ago.
The nurses are sometimes shocked when people call or post something while the placenta needs to come out.
When they told us that I was shocked also. You first want to enjoy your precious time with your little one.
We've called our parents and friends like 2hours after giving birth.
Maybe our parents just a little shorter but not right away.
I was breathtaking by our little girl.
Just how tiny she was,how she moved, make little noises.
I just wanted to enjoy that moment and could not think of calling someone or post something online.
But that's everyone for themselves.

When did you let everyone know that your baby was born?
And what do you think to post something online when your baby is just born a couple of minutes ago?

Due date, born date

Hello you....

I did not tell you how I survived the labor haha.
I will keep it clean I promise.

At half past 4 in the morning I went down stairs because I thought I must go to the toilet.
But some water dripped on the floor. I thought I was peeing but this happend 3 times and then I thought wait: I think my water is broke.
I called my gynecologist in the hospital and they told me I must come right away.
At first I don't want to come because I must go to the hospital at 11am for a heartscan of the baby.
But they say I must because I was to early (4weeks).
So I've woke up my hubby, I showerd, brushed my teeth and then we go to the hospital.

I've catched some water to show them so they can find out if it was amniotic fluid or something else. But it was amniotic fliud and I've got a heartscan for my babygirl again.
They said that it was not sure that I was going in to labor.
I had allready 2 cm dilated and still was not in to labor and I had that from the Friday before.
They saw some contraction activity on the scan. But I had that for 4 weeks. Nothing special I only did not sleep for weeks haha.
At 7am they were going to see how many cm I was dilated. But it was only 2,5 cm.
It did not look like I was going into labor.

But the contractions were heavier and more painful. They also came within 3 minutes.
So at half past7 they are going to see again how many I was dilated and I was 8 cm dilated!!!
So they said they were going to order the delivery room and that my hubby must pack our baby clothes.
But they must clean the room first because they did not know that I was going to labor that day, that it will go slow.

In the delivery room I had the feeling I must push something out. But I may not push I had 9,5 cm.
I was pretty mad because the midwife left the room and I was alone with my hubby and a nurse.
I went sow mad (because I want to push so badly) that the nurse left also and then I was really pissed.
But both came she looked and said I must push. (finally)
And in a half an hour our baby girl came out!

So I had a labor for only 3hours she was born at 9:56am. It went so fast.
But I was glad I feel so damn good and better then I was pregnant!

SO our girl was 4 weeks to early but she did it great.
They did not have to lie in an incubator.
But she had lost to many weight in 1 day so she must keep her food inside and eat more mommy milk and formula milk. But she spit the most of it out. So the child doctor want her to go to the pediatric ward. I cried a lot because then she would get probe feeding.
And suddenly she eat a lot from my breast and keep it all inside so she could stay with me.
I was so happy. And that night she ate only more and keep it all in. After 4 days we finally can go home. She ate great, her weight get's higher and she was pretty active.

So we can say we have a very strong fighter girl!

I'm so blessed to have her in our lives and that she does everything so well.

My due date was 27-7-2014 but finally she was born at 29-6-2014.

Now I'm curious, What was your due date and when did your baby born? And how was your labor expierince? just leave a reply.

Posting a photo of your new born on social media: Do's or Don't ?

Congratulations you are a parent now! A special chapter in your life is about to begin. And everybody may know that. Euhm wait.... everybody? Well research shows that in less than an hour 62% of the parents post a photo of their newborn on social media. 22% is family and 16% are their friends.
Sharing your pregnancy on facebook is such a normal thing this time of the year. If you want to know if someone is pregnant just find out on facebook. Do you want to know how the babies room looks like just find out online.

Why do we share such an intimate thing to the whole world? Well it's started when baby George was born. And then it was an hype to share your newborn to the world.
But why do we do that?
The reason couples do this is because they can show it to family members and friends a lot easier who lives far away. But even casual acquaintances are aware of the birth of your child immediately. Couples say that they think it's a lot easier to share this all in ones. And people who aren't that close can see a picture of their newborn also.

As a new parent you want to show to the world how beautifull your little baby is. You are happy and full of joy.
But don't upload a picture daily (enjoy eachother)
Send a much intimate picture to your family through whats app or e-mail and not on facebook or instagram.
Think before you post a picture online. You do not want to get a picture under your nose getting birth at a job interview.
Talk to your family and friends if you don't want them to post pictures of your baby online. Just be honest to them.
You can also post a detail. A photo of a foot or hand. So everybody nows your baby is born but it's still a suprise!
And at last something about newborn photoshoots.
It's a trend to make pictures of your baby in special poses. And let's be honest is looks adorable.
But be carefull with who you work with.
Make sure they have the full experience. That they know what they are doing with your newborn, that everything is safe.
Make sure they are using props who are soft and not sharp. It must be safe for your baby they must don't get hurt.
Make sure they will support the babies head because the head is heavy and they can't lift their head.

Just do reasearch before you work with a photographer. It's a special moment for you.
For the dutchies out here I know an amazing photographer who is really great with newborn photography: first edition photography

Further I want to say enjoy your parenting.
Enjoy the times with your little one and your family time.
My time must start... and it will be... very soon. I can't wait to hold the little one in to my arms.
But I wont post a picture of my newborn on facebook.
The most important people get a card from us. And facebook members will see the baby when I feel like it to post something.
I even did not post a photo of the sonogram that we are expecting a baby. They find it out with little quotes or sometimes I post a status with a hospital visit in it.
I don't want to have 100 likes or comments on the photo. They will find it out when I feel like it. haha
But that is a choice what everybody must make of their own.

What would you do? Will you post a photo of your new born online?

Maternity shopping

Time for a baby check up... What great to hear your little babies heartbeat. It's such a presious little thing what I'm creating. Can't wait to hold him/her in to my arms.
Everyting is fine with my little baby. But mommy still must do it easy and slow. So I hope from now on there will be no more bleedings. I felt his/her little head. What an amazing thing was that!

But enough about my baby talk. How's your baby doing?

Today I've bought some flowers for in our house. Because it's not that Spring weather any more.
I've got some nice blue roses and a blue cactus. Did you ever see that?

It was also time to replace my bellybutton ring into a maternity piercing.
Everyday barbells, rings and PTFE are too short and rip as your belly expands. With this one it will be different. It is very flexible and it's long enough to grow.
This piercing is a replacement for your metal piercing and keep the piercing open until your jewelry can be reinserted. If you need to adjust the size, you can easily cut the ends with scissors or a sharp blade.
Pregnancy is often unpredictable. If it feels safe to use it for you, you can wear it. Some people can get some infections wearing a maternity piercing. So use it at your own risk.
I've orderd mine at: https://www.alloverpiercings.nl/ a great webshop with great fast services.
They are not too expensive and they have a lot of choices in different kind of piercings.
I will wear mine piercing with pride......
