My healthy place


My healthy place, en dan heb ik het niet over een plek waar ik naartoe reis voor gezondheidsredenen. Nee ik heb het over een plekje in de voorraadkast met mijn zogezegde: gezondheidsproducten/food!

Nadat ik de koelkast vol heb gepropt met groentes zoals: tomaat, komkommer, paprika en bleekselderij. En natuurlijk mijn kan van Forever Freedom. Heb ik de voorraadkast eens uitgemest en mijn spullen eens bij mekaar gezet. 
Ik vond dat ik dit maar moest doen aangezien mijn grote vriend de postbode me weer een pakketje kwam bezorgen van Body en Fitshop.
Die doos alleen al vind ik erg leuk. En ik word gewoon blij als ik een pakketje binnen krijg. 

Dit is mijn laatste bestelling geweest.
Fitmiss tyte: om mooi getoned te worden. Bevat natuurlijke ingrediënten.
Protein chips: deze zijn zo lekker in de smaak paprika! Ik hou van chips en deze zijn toch wat gezonder dan de normale van lays. 40gram per zakje en vol proteins!
En whey breakfast. Vol met de juiste vezels, goede koolhydraten en vol met eiwitten om je dag mee te beginnen. 1shake bevat 400 calorieën dus het zou je maaltijd zo kunnen vervangen mocht je in a hurry zijn 's ochtends. Maar ik eet er gewoon nog brinta bij.

En dit is dus my healthy place. Mijn plankje, met BCAA van Fitmiss voor tijdens het sporten. Volkoren Brinta die ik eet met soya melk. Eat real noten en granen mix voor in de kwark. Protein chips natuurlijk en whey breakfast. Popcorn salt :). Amandelmeel om cake mee te bakken. Smart protein shake voor na het sporten en appel ringen voor als tussendoortje.

Dit is dus mijn voorlopige healthy place. Maar er komen meer producten bij. Zo zag ik nog mooie producten van Forever waar ik mee aan de slag wil gaan en Body & Fit hebben ook nog lekkere ontbijtjes en tussendoortjes.

Banaan kwark ontbijtje

Er gaat niets boven een lekker simpel ontbijt in de vroege morgen.
Zo ook deze een goede eiwitrijke start voor een goed begin van deze mooie zonnige dag.

Benodigdheden:
Griekse kwark
1banaan
Cacao poeder
Biologische pindakaas.

Snijd de banaan door de helft.
Doe de kwark in 2schaaltjes verdelen.
Mix de kwark in het ene schaaltje met de cacao poeder. En in de ander schaaltje met de pindakaas.
Leg het op je bord bij de banaan en smakelijk.


Simpel toch?

This monkey gets funky

I think you all may know that I'm a big coffee addict.
Now I'm pregnant I can't drink more than 2 cups of coffee. Normally I drink a lot more.

So I thought that it would be hard to kick off from coffee and normally when I don't drink coffee I get sweaty, grumpy and get a headache. So yeah you can say that I'm an addict.
Luckly for me the first 15 weeks or so I can hold any food in and I hated the smell of coffee. I just could not resist the smell. It's makes me feel nauseous. And because I allready feel like crap because of all that vomitting I could not recognize withdrawal symptoms. 
So now I don't drink more than 2 cups a day.

But because I'm a coffee addict I came up with an amazing idea. Why don't make a breakfast smoothie of it? You've got coffees in different flavours so I must give this a shot. And it taste great!!! 
It's also pretty handy if you must go somewhere and you want your coffee and must eat your breakfast. This is all in one. Let's get this monkey to be funky!

What you need:

1cup off coffee (cool down)
half cup soy milk mixed wit chiaseeds (make this a day before and let it overnight in the fridge)
2 tbsp greek yoghurt
2 bananas

Mix everything into a mixer. And you've got your coffee/breakfast smoothie on the go or for at home ;).



Coffee is just another word for a cup of rainbows and sunshine!!!

stuffed apple for breakfast

And once and again it's very cloudy and rainy outside. It looks more like autumn than spring.
I was awake early. My tummy hurts badly and I could not sleep all night, so I wake up at the same time as my hubby. We had coffee together and than he went off to work. I was really hungry so I was thinking what I could eat. It was dark outside and it looks like it's going to rain. And well when I'm writing this it's raining and hard. I've got some apples and I thought let's make a breakfast with apple that is very cozy and warm. 
So I've made a stuffed apple. It's very easy but it will take some time before you can eat it.

1 apple
muesli
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp maple syrup
aluminum foil

Preheat the oven on 200degrees. Cut off the top of the apple (but keep it), remove the core and hollow the apple. Keep the apple pieces and crush them.
Mix the apple pieces, cinnamon, maple syrup and muesli together.
Put that in the apple and put the cap back on.
Fold the aluminum foil around the apple and put it in the oven for 20minutes.

This is a nice and cozy breakfast. It's more like a fall breakfast than a spring breakfast but who cares?
It tastes great and it's healthy. Do I need to say more?

You know we've had enough rain when ducks are handing out life-jackets! QUACK!!!

Breakfast in a glass!

Yesterday it was Sunday. A lazy Sunday. After my coffee I was craving for some breakfast and I want some fruit. But I did not know what kind of fruit I want.
Saturday I went to the market some healthy shopping. So my fruit basket is filled again with yummie, healthy sweetness.
I also went to the nature shop. I've bought there: chia seeds, 
shredded coconut, hemp seeds, maple syrup and coconut oil.

So it was hard for me to figure out what I want for breakfast. But I've made something yummy.

Here it goes: 


Firtst layer is avocado
Second layer is oatmeal porridge 
Third layer some mandarin
Fourth layer oatmeal porridge again
And the last layer is some kiwi!

Breakfast!!!


First of all before you ask why that in some pictures I have copyright on it and on others I don't.
Well it's simple. The pictures I have taken is copyrighted. Other pictures are from the internet ;). Simple as that.




Yesterday I posted a blog about a healthy pregnancy diet.
I've told you that Breakfast is important. It will stop the bad cravings. 
Some people think it is hard to eat some breakfast. Well I thought that also. But I started small with some fruit, smoothie, and now my body get used to eat in the morning I eat oatmeal porridge, whole wheat crackers or muesli (and not cruesli).


They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And that is true! Let me tell you why.
Breakfast can make or break your diet, because breakfast helps set the tone for the rest of the day.
Do you even know what breakfast means? Your body responds to not eating for hours and hours by slowing down it's metabolic rate. By eating breakfast, you wake up your metabolism and get your engine humming, burning those calories you need to burn to lose  weight. Studies also shows that people who are eating breakfast are more alert and do better tests than people who skip breakfast.
People who eat breakfast have better moods than people who don't. If I'm hungry you better get out of my way! Cancel the sugared cereal as first in the morning and don't eat dessert for breakfast. They cause a blood sugar dip a couple of hours later. You'll be despert to eat some unhealthy sugared thing for a quick sugar rush. And if you're thinking a cereal bar with 30grams of sugar is a heathy breakfast item, think again. Some cereal bars contain nearly as much sugar and fat as a regular chocolate bar.

So eat clean and start you're day good.
I will eat my breakfast now oatmeal and some manderine. Have a great Saterday!!!
